Queen Hatpshepsut
Queen Hapshepsut was the first woman pharaoh. She came into power because she was wife of a pharaoh who died soon after he took power. She ruled Egypt with her stepson Thutmose the Third. In 1472 B.C she declared herself pharaoh & wore a fake beard reserved for pharaohs only. Unlike other pharaohs, she strengthened Egypt through trade with a city called Punt. She got in return rare animals, live mokeys, & trees to make incense.
