Reflection Sheet
Assignment: Rates, Unit Rates & Proportions
Standards: 6.RP.1, 6.RP.2 & 6.RP.3b
1. How does this assignment relate to the standard?
This relates to the standard because it is a quiz that tests if I understood what I learned in class. Depending on this test is how well I understood what my math teacher Ms. Ha was teaching. I got a bad grade on this test because of small mistakes so I took a retake. Now I am just waiting to know what my new grade is.
2. What are the steps you took to complete & do well on this assignment?
When Ms. Ha said to study, I took it seriously. I studied several times but somehow in the quiz I got a bad grade. When I got my test back, Ms. Ha was asking if anyone wanted to take a retake. I didn't take the retake immediately like others. Instead I took out my notes & studied them before I took the retake. I also went back to my original quiz to see what were my mistakes. Finally I took the retake & in my opinion, I believe I did much better.
3. This assignment demonstrates the following strengths...
This assignment demonstrates that I have the ability of using what I learned in class & adding it into a quiz. Because I did bad on the original quiz & took a retake, this also demonstrates that I have the ability of setting myself a goal and doing all I can do to accomplish it.
4. I could I have improved in this assignment by...
I could have improved on this quiz by studying more. I'm not afraid to admit that I could have studied more in order to get a better grade so I wouldn't have to take the retake I took. I could have also improved on this quiz by checking my work several times after I finished. Ms. Ha always tells us several times to check our work & I feel like I let her down because I only checked it once.
5. How will you apply the skills you learned from this assignment in either the real world when you are an adult or in other classes while you are still a student?
I will apply these skills in the future because if I ever have do do something similar, I would already know how to do it. I can also apply the skills I used on this in the real world because it will really work. That way I won't be making silly mistakes.
