My Vision Board
1. Justify how this project/activity/assignment meets the standard, using evidence from the standard itself to demonstrate mastery and/or understanding.
The standard W.8.3 says that the student shall write a narrative to get their brain working based off on either real or imaginary events/experiences while using techniques that encourage very detailed, descriptive, well set up of events. This assignment relates to the standard because in my Vision Board I had to write a narrative about my future life using the objects I had projected onto my board.
2. Elaborate on at least 1 skill and/or strength you feel you gained from completing this project.
I feel like getting to be true to yourself is a skill that I learned on this assignment. Other skills branch off of it too. While doing this project I got to see how my brain works and how my heart and emotions drag it along as well. While choosing what to put for my relationships, hobbies, and all that good stuff, I had a hard time. Not because I didn't know any or didn't have any. I needed to sort myself out though. I needed to accessorize well my needs. That is one of the skills I say branches off when you know who you are and are true to yourself. Being able to accessorize yourself can be very useful because it helps you manage things better in certain situations. Which branches off time management. I got to say I am also pretty proud I turned my Vision Board on time. It feels good to know you accomplished something within the time set given.
3. Upon reflecting on your works/score, what is one thing you could have done better on? How will improving in this area be beneficial for future projects?
I got to be honest. I liked my project but it had sparkles and things. I like them but the way they were put together was a bit awkward & the order was thrown off.. If could work on the sense of organizing it would be good help. In future projects or in general classwork, being organized and having things in a sequence of orders helps things look better & presentably appealing, but also it makes work easier and faster. I want to improve on this by setting outlines before I start something. Like when you are brainstorming to write a story, you create a plot map. That is your outline.
4. How will you presently apply the content and skills you learned from this assignment in the real world. Make connections between the content and your life.
Well when I grow up, I am going to have to know how to see myself from another person's perspective and criticize my work and myself. Whatever is that I do in life, I will be able to have an idea of the different thoughts others may have about my work. I feel like that is going to help me out because then I can also see my flaws. It like when you are typing and then you read what you typed in your head. It makes sense yet when you read it out loud it doesn't. You're inner voice doesn't let you hear the mistakes as when your projecting voice does.
