What is an SLC?
An SLC stands for Student Led Conference where the student leads a parent conference with their teachers, parents, and at moments peers. They are done based off of the students portfolio which is why I have this website. My weebly has a purpose, to share & display ideas flowing through thew river I call my brain to my fellow peers, adults, my community, my school, the staff in RKMS, & family members. SLC's are always held towards the end of the year before the students from each grade level leave off to their EOTY LEL's. Those are end of the year life learning experiences for certain students from each grade lever. Each level has their own different location out of town that they travel to. SLC's are a big part of that. Through out the year, our teachers let us present on certain projects that we have done in class. The projects I have uploaded under every category are the ones that I have showcased to my peers and that subject teacher. They make you showcase it to the class to prepare you for the actual thing. That way once SLCs come around we are already prepared. They ask us questions and the teacher gives us feedback on how to do better for the next time we present until it is SLC's.
